A real chance to get things cleaned, up and put away without fighting the elements. The winter solstice solstice is over and the days start to get longer now, makes for a short winter. Happy birthday to Mrs. Edna Philp, who celebrated celebrated ber 92nd earlier this week. Back in the days when she taught in Tyrone school, Mrs. Philp pro duced and directed good Christmas concerts. The next day while cleaning up the hall, the students always sang our birthday greetings to her. Our concert featuring Nancy Chisling was a beautiful start for the Christmas season. Her choice of music ranged from oratorio to spirituals to singalongs and her case of manner and wonderful voice made it an unforget table evening. She took as her theme Luther's Cradle Song and presented several several different arrangements of these familiar words. Nancy was accompanied by Sandy Brittain. The Pol Luck Supper and Hayride and Carol Sing on December 13, was so well attended that a second second wagon was called into service. The weather was perfect, the food was fantastic fantastic and everyone had a Tyrone News great time. Thanks to Jake and Jane Koene, Jim Woodley, Bill Hasiuk, John Vaneyk, Paul Vaneyk and all the dishwashers! At the morning service on Sunday, December 20, the Sunday school presented presented their annual pageant. This year's was written by Denise Walker and Norm Sunday School Pageant Enjoyed by All by Betty Wright On Saturday, December 19th at 8:00 p.m. there was a Christmas Candlelight service of music at the Maranatha Christian Reformed Church combined combined with the First Baptist Church in Oshawa with choir director and organist Cory Kuipers. The pianist was Pauline Dccb. They also bad the First Baptist Church Junior Choir lake part; We would like to thank all those taking part in this beautiful evening of Christmas music. Enniskillen News On Sunday, our fourth Sunday of Advent, the Sunday School put on our Christmas Pageant entitled, entitled, "They All Said Yes", written by Denise Walker and Norm Sell, directed by Diane McGill and produced produced by the Enniskillen Sunday School. We would like to thank all the children children for a job well done and Denise Walker, Norm Scli and Diane McGill for their work in putting this pageant together. On Sunday evening at Tyrone we had the same pageant but with Tyrone Sunday School joining in. Thanks to all who took part and did such a wonderful wonderful job at this service. None of this would have been possible if it hadn't been for our Minister Reverend Norm Scli, for all his efforts in putting this pageant together. Before retiring for refreshments, Reverend Scli presented those who had assisted him in making this presentation possible with gifts of appreciation. The afternoon Bible study at Enniskillen church will be taking a Christmas break and we will get together again on January 5th. The evening Bible study group is also taking a Christmas break. They will get together again January 6th. On Christmas Eve, Thursday, December 24lh, a service will be held at our church at 6:30 p.m. This will be a special evening candlelight service service for everyone. Scli and directed by Jane Koene and Pat Woodlcy- Vooys. We have a great deal of talent in our community, community, speaking, singing and playing a variety of instruments. The full pageant pageant was presented on Sunday evening by both Enniskillen and Tyrone Sunday Schools to an appreciative crowd at the Community Centre. Thursday night's Christmas Eve Service is at 7:45 p.m. in Tyrone and 6:30 in Enniskillen. Everyone is welcome. Sunday, December 27, there will be one service on the charge; that will be at Enniskillen at 10:00 a.m. Please note change in time and place.
