A relaxed atmosphere during during showings, free of the Vendor's presence is necessary for your agent to get honest feedback and lo qualify serious purchasers, Have your home in "shipshape" inside and out; lawns cut and trimmed, gardens weeded and edged, snow removed from driveways and walks, carpets freshly vacuumed, bathrooms and kitchens sparkling clean, ele.i Open all blinds and drapes and turn on lights especially in basement areas and small rooms and especially on dull days. Successful Food and Toy Drive The 1997 9th Annual Christmas Food and Toy Drive was a heartwarming success. Volunteers were kept busy into the wee hours distributing all the food and toys that were collected throughout the Durham Region. We filled the wish lists of more than twenty-two local agencies who had requested assistance for families this year. There were sufficient toys and food to provide for every family that had applied to the agencies. Right up until Christmas Eve and right through into the new year, wc were collecting food and toys that poured in due to the overwhelming generosity of our citizens and businesses. Wc at the Durham Regional Police would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all the many volunteers too numerous to mention by name who helped keep the spirit of Christmas alive by giving of their valuable time at this busy time of year. To the Ajax, Clarington, Oslmwa and Whitby Fire Departments, wc send out a special thank-you for your continued support In providing providing drop-off locations, and to our sponsors, our heart-felt appreciation for making this drive possible each year, To the many individuals, schools, organizations and businesses, small and large in our community, who took the lime on their own initiative to collect donations and set up drop boxes, a special thank you, Saturday and reported a wonderful time. A delicious delicious dinner started the activities followed by greetings from Clarington Mayor Diane Hamrc who presented the group with a congratulatory plaque. Reverend David Shearman assisted with the memorial service for the late Reverend J. C. Hill which was held in the Columbus United Church on Sunday afternoon. Helen and Stuart Dorrcll, Gerald and Joyce Kelly attended from this area. 'CDENr* ,983-9777 MfiBIHR. "" NEWCASTLE! L0A1E0 Excellent bungalow on large village lot. | Asking $142,900.
