If you instil them too close together, one drop will wash the other drop out of the eye and you won't get the full effect of the therapy. Some eye drops require you to shake the container prior to use. This Is because the medication Is suspended In a liquid and settles settles to the bottom on standing, It must be shaken before each use so each drop will contain the right dose of drug. We will tell you when this is important. Some people have trouble knowing If they got the drop into the eye or not. If you have that problem, try keeping the eye drop in the refridgerator. When the drops arc cold, it Is easier to tell if they have gotten into the eye rather than have them roll down your check as often happens. After installation of the drop, press your finger on the Inside corner of the eye near the nose for one to two minutes, Tills will keep the medication In the eye longer resulting in more effective lowering of the pressure In the eye. Helping you use your medications properly Is one of the many facets of a professional pharmacy service. After a lengthy cabinet cabinet meeting it was decided to give such support and send a force. So it turned out wc are sending 1 frigate, two 40- ycar-old Hercules transport transport aircraft plus 300 soldiers. soldiers. The defence minister appeared on TV to make this announcement. "That Saddam had better be aware that Canada is in support of the U.S. and is sending forces". Powerful Force The best wc could hope for should Canada unleash this powerful force, is for Saddam Hussein to laugh himself to death from this serious threat from Canada. Is this the result wc arc gelling from a ten billion dollar defence budget? Wc are probably the only country in the world which has over 100 generals who have no command other than their secretaries. Cyclist Taking it Easy Our latest correspondence from Bowmanville's marathon cyclist, John Veldhuis, finds him taking a break and enjoying life in Florida after his trip through the south. He's cycling around North America to raise funds to establish a scholarship for Haitian students students who wish lo study in Canada. Life here in Florida has a pace and style all of its own. At least in the area where I am staying this is true. This subdivision is made up of about 40% Canadians - "the snowbirds" - as they are called. Some stay about 3 months, others 6 months but all of them are retired and they do what retired people do here in Florida. A large portion of the time is spent visiting flea markets and there are several huge ones in the area. Another large portion of time is spent playing various card games, usually in the homes of friends but once a week a card game is organized in the community hall. Most of the men and several several women also spend time each day at the shuffle board court either in tournaments or just practicing the game. It is a lifestyle that takes some time acquiring, I suppose, suppose, but one which does not appeal to me at this time. However, it is quiet and my host and hostess are gracious and I am resting up from the long trek along the southern border. Next week I plan to do a bit more cycling but I will return here again as soon as I am finished with that little side trip. While here I watched the launch of Endeavour as it blasted into space to meet up with the MIR space station. It was quite spectacular to see the bright orange flames from the rockets lift the crew and cargo higher and higher into space and especially so to see it live and in person right from the front porch! This is the wettest January people here can remember. Although the temperature continues to be in the 70's the lack of sunshine is a bit of a disappointment. It even cancels some of the flea market and shuffle board activities. A rare occurrence occurrence in this area. My hostess is an avid shell collector and has promised to take me on a shell hunting expedition as soon as the tides arc right. I look forward to that trip.
