She served proudly in the Canadian Women's Auxiliary Auxiliary Corps (A.W.A.C.), World War II and had many fond memories of her six year army career and her childhood' in Newfoundland. She was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and very proud.of her roots and privately independent to the end. She is predeceased by two brothers Austin, Percival, a sister Lyra and survived by a sisler Anita from Corner- brook. She also lost her son, Donald Francis on September 18, 1997. She is lovingly remembered remembered by her four children, children, 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
