The play, which runs March 4, 5, 6, 7, was written written by Canadian playwright, playwright, Norm Foster. Like so many other Canadian writers, he has a talent for making comedy work. Foster's play gives audiences audiences a hilarious look at how eight characters deal with the problem-plagued production of "Whisper On The Wind", the play which "OPENING NIGHT" centers around. Ruth and Jack Tisdale are a couple celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary on the night of the premiere. Playing the Tisdales arc two popular Workshop actors, Margaret Williams and Ken Brignall. Both actors have been in comedies before and their sense of timing and delivery arc right on the mark. Audiences will enjoy Margaret's performance as a woman who wants to get out more with her husband, husband, and Ken's role as a man who would rather be watching game seven of The future of traditional Cape Breton music is alive and well in the nimble hands of brilliant young fiddler player, Natalie MacMaster. Archibald, who directed the BDW's recent production production "All In The Timing", has appeared in many Workshop productions over the past thirteen years.
