Projects like one by Jamie Barker, Vanessa Bilenduke and Kristen Hockstra (pictured above), compared children's rights and conditions in Canada to those in the Third World. Paper Bag Puzzle Part of Earth Week The pARTners Program at' the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington is organizing an Earth Day project with Bowmanvillc Schools and Graham's IGA. ' With the help of artist Richard Toms, students in 6 area schools will plan and paint a mural advocating wise use of natural resources. This mural will then be g ridded and painted on paper grocery bags supplied supplied by IGA. During Earth Week, April 21 to 25, the public is encouraged to shop at Graham's IGA and to use these paper bags instead of plastic, returning them to the VAC, the school, or the IGA. The schools will be hoping the public completes the cycle, returning all of the pieces of the mural puzzle.
