Ready to Race Again As the beginning beginning of the 1999 Mosport Karl Club season is underway, local driver, Chris Hart, was eager to get behind the wheel of his brand new kart. With the prospect of an exciting and challenging season, season, Chris has spent the long winter months in anticipation. Hart, currently in his second year of a Durham College marketing marketing program, has changed his focus from his studies to the track. After a winning winning season in the Senior Heavy class, Hart has set his sights at a first time class at the club. With the highest performance performance karts, this unique new class will boast some of the club's top drivers from their respective divisions divisions last year. All karts in this class will use a TM racing engine with a six speed sequential shift. The karts can reach speeds in excess of 125 mph and an impressive 0-60 mph in less than four seconds. Not only will Hart have to adjust to the higher speeds of his new kart, he must become proficient with new concepts such as changing gears and cornering cornering using the equipped front brakes.
