We elected the following officers - President is Alaina Sharpe, Vice President is Carrisa Sharpe, Secretary is Jen Kroft and Press Reporter is Sarah Connelly. Roll call was our favourite breeds of rabbits. Some of our favourites were the Nctherland dwarf, Holland Lop, Angoras and the Australian White. At this meeting we discussed factors to consider when selecting selecting a rabbit, such as: free from car mites, free of discharge in eyes, is friendly and has straight teeth. Then, the leaders brought out three Holland Lops for us to handle. We discussed judging competitions competitions and we then closed our meeting. Sarah Connelly Tyrone U.C.W. Real Estate with Betty Smith Agency and Agency Disclosure Realtors work within a legal idea known as "AGENCY". The law of agency, is the most important branch of the law with which Real Estate practitioners come in contact. When someone acts on behalf of another party, he or she is legally considered to be an extension of that party. As that party's AGENT, lie or she is obliged to look after the best interest of that person (known as the "client" or "principal") and to obey all lawful instructions of the client. Agents owe clients their primary allegiance but it is to be stressed that they owe third parties (eg. customers) the ethical duly to be honest, the legal duty not to misrepresent and to exercise due care when offering advice or answering questions. There arc a number of different agcnt/elicnl/eustomcr relationships that exist in the complex world of business (Real Estate included), but all work on the same principle. In the Real Estate marketplace today, the client can be the Purchaser or the Seller and in the case of "Dual Agency" the client will be both. It is mandatory for Realtors to fully disclose, in writing, to nil parties of a transaction, die exact nature of the agency relationship that exists and the nature of the service that the member will he providing. So, prior to buying or selling, meet with your Realtor and have him or her explain to you the intricacies of Agency and Agency Disclosure. Close to Mall and 401. Reduced to $ 148,000 By Glenn Trider BBQ Grilling 101 -A Crash Course Barbecuing is a lot like driving a car. 49% of us learned the skill from a family member. And like driving we picked up some interesting interesting habits in the process. Following are some grilling mistakes: 1/ Never Cleaning the Barbecue An annual 30 minute maintenance maintenance check is critical not only to make your food taste good but for safety and warranty purposes. So start with a fit, clean piece of equipment and maintain as you go. 2/ Lighting the Grill with the Lid Closed Opening the lid dissipates the gas accumulations. If the grill doesn't light on the first try, wait 5 minutes and repeat. 3/ Putting It On High and Going For It Otherwise known as torching, this is guaranteed to give your food a crispness you never thought possible. The prime secret to barbecuing is two fold: knowing how to handle the heat (getting to know when to use high, medium or low settings) and knowing how to check for donencss. 4/ Cooking With the Lid Open The unique flavour of barbecuing is obtained when hot juices fall on the briquettes and vapourize into smokey flavour. Opening the lid allows all. that' flavouring to fly with the wind. Additionally, good food depends on maintaining maintaining consistent even heat over a period of time, which becomes difficult if you variate the temperature temperature by opening the lid. 5/ Trying to Put out a Grease Flare Up with Water Ditch the old squirt bottle or the beer shower...fighting flare ups requires baking soda handy. 6/ Putting the Sauce On Too Early We all love the flavouring of BBQ sauce...but basting it on before the last five minutes, of cooking caramelizes the sauce and over browns, of burns your food. 7/ Piercing Food to Check for Doneness In steaks particularly, scaring is used to lock in juices. So when you're using a fork to turn steaks or piercing to check for donencss, donencss, all those great juices escape. Use tongs, or a spatula to handle meats and a touch test to ■ determine if it's time to pull it off the grill. Any questions or problems about your BBQ can be answered by calling us at 623-2956.
