This is a joint venture with Bell Canada and Industry Canada and it will serve as a millennium project for the school. Volunteers with Bell's Telephone Pioneers, a community service organization, provides provides a stencil, paint, rollers and brushes to create the 20x40 foot map shown here on an asphalt play area. Students did the painting and will enhance the map in the next school year by adding cities and other important landmarks. Have Your Say On Landfill Site ' ' Anyone wishing to learn more about the possible possible expansion of a local landfill site is invited to an upcoming public meeting. According to spokesperson Richard Lovekin, 'the Clarington Waste Processing Centre is proposing proposing to expand the Waste Disposal Site currently currently located at 4349 Concession Road 4 in Orono. The site was formerly known as the Newcastle Landfill Site. Under the Environmental Assessment Act, the . applicant is required to complete and submit the Terms of Reference for an Environmental Assessment to the Minister of the Environment. On July 22, the company will begin the process of the application by holding a public information session at which a draft Terms of Reference will be on display.
