St. George's News On Sunday, July 25th, 1999, Service of Morning Prayer was conducted by Gordon Leek, our Parish Lay Reader. Mr. Leek's sermon discussed the difference between covet and love. To covet, we want something so badly that, when we get it, we want to keep it for ourselves ourselves and deny others the chance to enjoy it, too. God's love is given and expressed and increases when passed on, not hoarded. God accepts us as we are and his love and grace arc free to us but paid for by Jesus' death on the cross. In Romans 8:39 it states, Nothing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Jesus Christ our Lord. We welcome Peter and Ann Harley who are new to our church. We offer sincere thanks to Gordon Leek for conducting services of Morning Prayer in the Padre's absence.
