Friday, Oct. 21 through to Sunday, Sunday, Oct. 23, the youth group will invite the public for a tour through a haunted barn, a hay ride through haunted woods and a trip through a corn maze. The antics will be controlled controlled and supervised. Visitors arc encouraged to bring a flashlight. The fun goes from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on all three nights. The event will take place at 6683 Langmaid Rd„ north of Cone. 6. A day of celebration at Zion United Church COURTICE - A year-long celebration celebration of 150 years in' ministry culminates culminates on Sunday, Oct. 17. The Zion United Church celebration celebration will include a mortgage-burning for the new second-storey addition with a presentation to include an awareness of the past, mission of the present, and the vision for the future. Bonnie Lahay, who describes herself herself as an occasional lottery player, took second prize in last Saturday's draw. Her ticket was purchased at Vanhout's Variety in Bowmanville. The 50-year-old assembly worker says she'll spend some of the money on a Christmas visit to see family on Canada's west coast.
