In the first game against Quinte, the teams skated to a 2-2 draw. Eric Kemp led the team with one goal and one assist, assist, with Brian Piggott scoring the second goal. A&R Flooring Major Tykes snap streak The previously winless (0-8-1) Clarington A&R Flooring Major Tyke hockey team found the winning touch at the Belleville Kinsmen House League tournament. The first win of the season came in the opening game, a 4-2 victory over Durham TV. Goals by Brenden Weeks, Andy Shure, Luke Ryan and Brenden Lindberg, along with the solid play of Meagan Feldcamp and Ty Gonsalves was enough to secure the victory. The second win came in a 10-0 romp over Belleville Tall Trees. Lindberg Lindberg paced the attack with a hattrick, Ronnie Potter and Zack Glaspell added two goals apiece, and singles were scored by Taylor Osborne, Curtis Weston and Shure. The shutout was recorded by Jeff Budgell. The following day in the third game Kids Love Hockey Major Novices advance to semis The Kids Love Hockey Major Novice Triple A Toros reached the quarter-finals quarter-finals of the Toronto Marlboro Hockey Hockey Classic tournament before getting eliminated. In the quarter-final, Matt Garrison and Andrew Bobas scored, but the Toronto Red Wings scored with 50 seconds seconds left in regulation time for a 3-2 win. Against the Toronto Marlies in the opening game, Matt Perron had two goals, while Nick Diachenko, Andrew Bobas and Aaron Pierce had one each in the victory. James Hoffman, John Bull and Greg Ncmisz had two assists, with one each to Matthew Garrison, Diachenko Diachenko and Pierce. In game two against Don Mills, the Toros won 5-2.
