"My idea was to create something special for the millennium millennium show," says Margaret Margaret Rodgers, director of the Visual Arts Centre, located in a building once used as a mill in southeast Bowman ville. "We have industries locally which produce really interesting interesting materials." ' Ms. Rodgers set about matching potential artists with appropriate suppliers. "I spoke to artists who had already worked in unconventional unconventional materials," she says. ,-While looking for the ideal people to put the show together, together, she tried to keep the emphasis on local talent.
