Kidwriters, for kids from ages eight to 11, will run on Saturdays from April 15 to May 6 from 10 a.m. to noon. It will also offer Teenwriters, for ages 12 to 16. That program program will run Thursdays from April 27 to May 18 from ' 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Kidwriters and Teenwriters provide opportunities for youth to meet with other young writers and share their stories while learning from adult writers in a fun, mentoring mentoring environment. Facilitator Marjorie Green is a freelance journalist, editor, business writer and author of 'Spywriter: Licensed to Write.' Seniors Jubilee auditions coming up Seniors of all stripes and talents are invited to take part in an audition for the 12th annual Royal Bank Jubilee 2000. Talented older adults, 55 and over, can sing, dance, joke, clog, cabaret or blow a horn in the show. For more than a decade, seniors have taken their various acts into the spotlight at Roy Thomson Hall while thousands watched and cheered. GM Choir to perform at Orono United Church ORONO - An evening of music will be presented in Orono on Saturday, April 8. The Kirby United Church is presenting The General Motors Choir at the Orono Church, at the corner of Church and Park streets. The GM Choir was originally formed in 1931 with financial financial support from the automaker. Currently the choir is fully sponsored by GM and the choir members rehearse weekly from September to May and travel throughout Ontario as goodwill ambassadors. The choir performs a variety of material including popular songs, golden oldies, patriotic and religious songs.
