The museum is featuring a historical historical bicycle exhibit, complete with a tall Penny Farthing-type bike with a large wheel at the front and small one in back. Its original owner, Edmund Haggith, rode it from Bowmanville to Buffalo, N.Y., then on to Rochester, before catching the ferry to Cobourg and returning to Bowmanville in the 1880s. Other bicycles on display include a rare chainless variety owned by former former Bowmanville postmaster Carl Kent, as well as a Massey Harris bike with wooden frames and fenders made at Bowmanville's own Dominion Dominion Organ and Piano Company.
