He believes lie's added another piece to a roster that already includes those types of players in Nathan Horton, Horton, Ben Eager and Paul Ranger by selecting selecting Adam Bcrti in the first round of Saturday's Ontario Hockey League draft. "We think we've got a big power forward who has only scratched the surface of what we think his potential is," says Burnett. "He's a pro (calibre) skater, similar to Ben Eager." Bcrti compiled 34-36-70 totals in 54 games last season and is the younger brother of Chris Bcrti of the Erie Otters. Bcrti says he's "really happy" to be taken by his hometown club. "I had a feeling it was going to happen," happen," says Bcrti, after watching Robbie Schremp go first overall to Mississauga, Mississauga, followed by Wes O'Neill (Kingston), Wojtek Wolski (Brampton), (Brampton), Dan LaCosta (Owen Sound) and Jean-Michel Rizk (Saginaw) in the annual annual draft, conducted via the Internet. Berti, who says his style of play is "hopefully" reminiscent of Keith Primeau of the Philadelphia Flyers, understands it's a big jump from bantam bantam hockey to the Ontario Hockey League. To that end, he has turned to his brother for a little advice. "He tells me it's a lot more physical and definitely a higher-paced game, that it's a big step from bantam," says Berti. Berti was one of four local players selected by the Generals. After grabbing Kyle Raftis, a 6- foot-2, 175-pound defenceman from the North York Rangers in the second round, the Generals took Berti's teammate, teammate, Michael McLean, a 6-foot-1, 160-pound centre, in the third round.
