Mr. Stewart, who has been contracted by the Municipality, will provide identification to show that he is authorized to sell licences on behalf of the Municipality. The Clarington Animal Services By-law requires that all dogs and cats be licenced each year. Responsible pet ownership is encouraged with reductions in the licence fee for neuter/spay, rabies vaccine and microchipping. We are able to return dogs and cats to their owners with a simple telephone call if the animal is wearing a tag. Please protect your pet by purchasing a 2002 licence! The project consists of twin pad arena of approximately 77,000 square feet, complete with all site works. Pre-qualification submissions are being invited from General Contractors only. The Tender Call is anticipated for the Summer of 2002. Completion of the entire project is scheduled for the summer summer of 2003. • PUBLIC NOTICE g THE 2002 CANADA POST LITERACY AWARDS Nominations are now being accepted for the Canada Post Literacy Awards. These awards recognize and reward the grassroots heroes--the educators, volunteers, business leaders and individual learners--who champion the cause of literacy in communities across the country. Awards will be presented in the following four categories: -Individual Achievement -Community Leadership -Educator -Business Leadership www.canadapost.ca. Nominations will be accepted until May 31, 2002. General Contractors wishing to be considered for pre-qualification must obtain a "Pre-qualification Package" from the Purchasing Office, Municipality of Clarington, 166 Church Street, Bowmanville and deliver the completed submission submission no later than 2:00:00 pm (local time), Monday, June 3, 2002 to the same office. The "Pre-qualification Package" submissions shall include the following: • Completed Canadian Standard Form of Contractor's Qualification Statement, (CCDC Form 11) including a list of similar projects completed in the last five years, with client and consultant references and values. • Resumes of supervisory personnel to be assigned to the project. • Letter from Bonding Company stating Contractor's capacity capacity to obtain Performance Bond & Labour and Materials Payment Bond according to the pre-qualification package. • Letter from a Bank indicating the ability to provide a Bid Bond for a minimum amount of $4,000,000.00. • A Certificate of Clearance from the WSIB. • A current CADD-7 Calculation safety record from the WSIB. • Copies of Health & Safety Policy. Only those contractors which the owner and architect deem qualified for the construction project will receive the tender documents. The owner's decision is final. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any pre-qualification submission received.
