This random-coursed fieldstone farmhouse was constructed in the Regency style for Roger Cole in approximately 1855. It is one of three similar stone houses along Acres Road, all built for members of the Cole family. The house sits on a 100-acre lot which has been farmed for generations. The Drama program instructors are all certified teachers who use a specially developed curriculum, allowing children to progress through introductory and advanced levels of dramatic training. JUNIOR DRAMA (5-8yrs.) Designed for primary-aged children, it introduces young actors to theatre, music, art and dance through a series of activities activities based on the theme of the day. Each session begins with a story to introduce the theme. Guided role playing, drama games, creative movement, and a related craft extend the theme. By the end of the session, the children are performing their own version of the story! PET OWNER NOTICE To ensure the health and safety of Clarington residents and their pets the municipality has enacted the Responsible Pet Owners by-law 99-90 that requires; All residents must license their dog or cat annually. Licenses expire December, 31 each year. The license is required to be affixed to the pet's collar. Lifetime licenses are available for pets that are spayed or neutered, microchipped and have their rabies vaccines. Animals are not permitted to run at large or trespass within the Municipality of Clarington. When off the owner's property, property, pets must be under control on a leash. You are also required to stoop and scoop after your pet. Clarington pet owners are also held responsible if their pet is found to be making persistent noise that disturbs other residents. There are also provisions in the by-law to require extra restraints on an animal that has an Order to Restrain issued following an attack or bite incident. The by-laws also limit the number of dogs and cats per residence residence and prohibit the keeping of exotic animals. Failure to comply with the Clarington by-laws may result in the following fines upon conviction.
