Born in Whitby Township, August 26th 1920, he. was educated in Bagotsville, near the family farm and later in Kinsale. Stanley volunteered for active war service in 1942 and served with the Royal Canadian Army Service Corps for lour years. He was predeceased predeceased by his brothers William, John, Albert and sisters Elizabeth and Doreen. Survived by sisters Margaret (Mrs. Oscar Gray) of Oshawa, Oshawa, and Betty (Mrs. Clarence Mercer) of Eliz- abethville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
