Harvey won the Novice (12-13 year-old) Level 2 division by receiving silver medals on vault, beam and floor and bronze on bars. Popert achieved her all-around gold in the Argo (nine-year-old) Level 2 category including gold on vault, bars and floor and silver on beam. In the same category, Whitby's Emily Yorke picked up the all-around silver medal, receiving gold on beam and floor, silver on vault and fourth on bars. Sydney Craig captured the silver overall medal in the Tyro (IO-year-old) Level 2 division division receiving silvers on vault, beam and floor. Katie Bignell tied Craig for silver on vault and floor, finishing ninth overall. Tara Columbus took home the bronze medal on floor in Open 3 (14 yrs+), fourth on beam, seventh on vault, eighth on bars to place seventh overall. .Brooke Devine ranked eighth out of 20 competitors in the Novice 2 division, finishing finishing seventh on beam and vault, ninth on floor and 10th on bars. The athletes will participate in two more Metro East Qualifiers. The top six gymnasts per category from seven different regions will compete at the Ontario championships in the spring of 2003.
