t PAGE A8THE CANADIAN STATESMAN, DECEMBER 18,2002 Joe Whibbs returns as chairman of Catholic board www.durhamregion.com : CLARINGTON - The Peterborough Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board has elected Joe Whibbs as chairman and Barb Malone vice- chairman for the 2002-03 year. Mr. Whibbs, a retired Human Resources Resources Adviser for the Ministry of Correctional Services, was first elected elected to the school board in 1982. A Peterborough Peterborough County representative on the board, he was first elected as board chairman in 1999 and served until December 2001. A graduate of St. Peter's Secondary School in Peterborough Peterborough and King's College, University University of Western Ontario, Mr. Whibbs has served on all standing and ad-hoc committees of the board and has chaired most of the committees. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Columbus and is a Minister of the Eucharis in Douro. Mr. Whibbs said he is "proud to work with this board and appreciates the unique gifts of the trustees." He thanked the board for electing him once again, and said he "looks forward forward to working with the trustees and administration in the year ahead to serve the needs of our students."
