And it's the second largest discrepancy in the province. Although Statistics Canada places both male and female median annual income in the Oshawa Census Census Area (which includes Whitby and Clarington) as third best in Ontario, the difference in earnings between between the two sexes is $18,122. The average income income for men in the area is $42,880. In comparison, the difference difference between sexes in Ottawa-Hull is $15,015, $12,161 in Kingston, and $16,631 in Toronto (the Toronto Census Area includes includes Ajax).
