The Durham Supervised Access Program Program offers children chances to maintain and build relationships with their noncustodial noncustodial parents or other family members members in a safe, neutral and child-focussed environment. That's where you come in- volunteers volunteers aged 18 years or older are required to supervise the weekly two-hour visits that occur on Saturday afternoons in Ajax, and Sunday afternoons and Tuesday Tuesday nights in Oshawa. Volunteers take observational notes during the visit, working with an experienced experienced program coordinator at all times. The amount of lime you give is designed to lit into volunteers' schedules. Initial volunteer screening and training training lakes place for all interested people, and ongoing training and support is offered offered to all volunteers. Skateboard ' ' ^ Park. 8 /Activities in our Mini-Gymnasium! wflonstrationsi Senior Citizens and The Physically Disabled Sidewalk and Driveway Windrow Snow Clearing Program tiioor St I 2 M L s i ? y T he Municipality of Clarington is offering senior citizens 65 years of age and over and the physically disabled a snow clearing service on municipal sidewalks and for driveway windrows adjacent to single family dwellings, which includes semi-detached, link housing and row housing in the urban areas of Bowmanville, Courtice, Orono, Newcastle Village and in the Hamlets of Bond Head, Newtonville, Tyrone, Leskard, Hayden, Kendal, Solina, Hampton, Burketon, Enniskillen, Maple Grove, Enfield, Mitchell Corners and Kirby. To be eligible for this service, applicants must be 65 years of age or older or be physically disabled, occupy a single family dwelling which fronts onto a Town street in the specified urban areas of the specified hamlets, and have no able bodied persons persons under the age of 65 years residing on the property. Senior citizens must provide a copy of a birth certificate or Senior Citizens Number; physically disabled applicants must provide a doctor's certificate each year. Application Forms can be obtained from the Operations Department, 2320 Taunton Road or at the Municipal Administrative Centre, Customer Service Reception Desk at 40 Temperance Street in Bowmanville, or by calling 905-263- 2291. If you wish to verify that you qualify for the service, please contact the Operations Department at the above phone number. All applicants who were approved last winter will receive a 2003-2004 application in the mail. All applicants must reapply each winter season and provide the appropriate documentation. All applications should be completed and returned to the Municipality of Clarington, Operations Department on or before October 17, 2003.
