Sarah Gearing, Lisa Gilmore, Taryn Ovens, Tara Wilt and Andrinna Pittcr continued to impress with their strong play, while the defensive play of Meghan Sarri, Amanda Leonard and Laura Tozer shut down the Barrie attack all game. MDS Express - The Bowmanville United Soccer Club's MDS Express major squirt soccer team met Courticc M&M Meats in the first round of the A Division playoffs. M&M Meats scored in the first seconds of the game, but MDS Express rose to the challenge, coming coming on strong with five goals to win the game. MDS Express Express goals were scored by Joshua Nieuwenhuis (4) and Brodie Harkness. The entire MDS Express team played very well during during the game with Cameron Sarmatiuk in net. MDS Express now faces City Homes in the semifi nals. 7-Eleven - The Bow- manvillc United Soccer Club's 7-Eleven atom girls' team ended the 2003 house league season at the playoffs held at the Darlington Hydro Fields. 7-11 met another Bowmanville Bowmanville team, Wallace Auto, in the first round of the B Division finals. Wallace Wallace Auto scored First in the game, however, 7-11 was awarded a free kick as a result result of a penalty and Rebecca Rebecca Lindgren scored, bringing bringing the game to a I-1 tic. Both teams played exceptionally exceptionally well during this very close game, but at the conclusion the score was tied 1-1. 7-11 faced another Bowmanville Bowmanville team in the second round, Cowan Pontiac. 7-11 scored first with a goal from Elise Spracklin. But, the Cowan Pontiac team returned returned with four goals in the second half to win the game. The 7-11 team enjoyed a great season finishing in the B Division finals. The defensive player of the game was Travis Andrews, with strong support from Dylan Hewitt and Jake Robinson. The atoms were blanked 72-0. Offensive Offensive player of the game was Michael Read with two receptions, while on defence, Tyler Johansen won the honour. Cory Hewitt and Kevin Hall were also strong on defence. The peewees were also blanked, dropping a 32-0 decision. Jesse Taylor had an interception and Craig Soares was also strong. Offensively, running back Alex Creighton and receiver Zachary Root played well.
