For NDP candidate Teresa Williams, the main over-riding issue in this election is health and safety. "It's really different for Caesarea than Bowmanville," says Ms. Williams, referring to the different priorities expressed across the diverse geography of the riding in which she is running. "But I would say health care is No. I. and public safety where health care is concerned." Ensuring issues like West Nile virus are dealt with well at the provincial provincial level is extremely important, she notes. Maintaining the strong economy Durham riding has come to enjoy over the past several years is most important important to incumbent Progressive Conservative John O'Toole.
