The Municipality of Clarington By-law 83-57 (as amended) states that no person shall, "obstruct, encumber, injure or foul any highway, bridge, road allowance, street...". The maximum maximum penalty for this offence is $5000. Yard waste can be disposed of through your regular collection dates in the months of October and November. Section 170(15) provides the authority for the removal of any vehicles, at the owner's expense, found to be causing an obstruction on a highway. Section 181 prohibits the depositing of snow or ice on a public roadway.
