War vets get plaque CLARINGTON - The residents of Wilmot Creek who served in a war will not be forgotten. The Wilmot Creek Homeowners' Association has dedicated a plaque honouring all veterans who now call the area home. Bruce Hadji, the association's president, said a resident who is a veteran veteran approached them with the idea of having a plaque to honour veterans. veterans. "We have quite a few veterans who reside here and it was thought we should honour them," he said. Four people - Mr. Hadji, Madge Cadan, Don Bower and Fred Pace - were active in the planning of the plaque, which was dedicated at the beginning of October. The plaque is embedded in a large rock, resting on a grassy area behind the recreation centre in the lakeside community.
