Rickard Recreation Complex and South Courtice Arena. Successful candidates may also be considered for employment in the summer camp programs. March Break runs from March 15TH to March 19TH, 2004. Candidates must be 18 years of age(Supervisor)/16 years of age (Counsellor), exhibit maturity and responsibility and be qualified with basic rescuer CPR and Standard First Aid. Experience dealing with children would be an asset. Successful candidates will be required to provide a current criminal reference check and complete 8 hours of training ' prior to March Break. Cross-Country Ski the Ganaraska Forest G ross-Country Skiing (also known as Nordic skiing) dates back somewhere between 4000 and 4500 years ago, when it was the only way to travel the snow and ice-covered Scandinavia. Today it is known as a great aerobic workout for all ages that can be done in a group or as an individual. individual. If you're looking for a great place to ski, look no further. Come and enjoy some of the most picturesque, groomed crosscountry crosscountry ski trails in Ontario. At the Ganaraska Forest Centre, you can get lost in the beauty of nature, while the clearly marked trail signs keep you right on track. The Forest Centre ' has over 35 kilometres of , groomed and track-set trails ' i : forthe novice and advanced skier. The trails meander through pine and hardwood forest, offering a challenge to skiers of varying ability levels. On the weekend, come and warm up with a hot chocolate Community Improvement Plan at our Quonset Hut and Snack Bar. Ski trails open in late December, weather permitting, and usually run through March - seven days a week. GANARASKA REGION Conservation authority C larington Council has initiated a Community x Improvement Plan (CIP) forthe Bowmanville downtown downtown and East Main Central area. The main purpose of such a plan is to articulate a vision for continued prqsperity of the business core, based on an assessment of past experience experience and future prospects along with realistic implementation policies, programmes and steps. To guide the development of the CIP a community focus group will be appointed. To ensure we have a cross-section of representation from the community, community, we are looking for volunteers from Bowmanville stakeholder groups, property and business owners, residents and including a representative from outside the core urban area of Bowmanville. : . The Committee will provide advice to Clarington Council, from a community perspective, regarding the draft Community Improvement Plan Work Program and bring to the table their unique interest and perspective.for incorporation into the CIP. s We are seeking representatives with knowledge of environmental, environmental, social/historic, cultural/recreational and economic issues associated with Bowmanville. It is estimated that the focus group will meet at least 5 times during the process and attend the public meetings. Specifically we are looking for a resident of the urban core area, a resident from outside Bowmanville, and two representatives from the business community community ia Bowmanville that are not in the BIA.
