As schools come close to ending for the year, drivers drivers are encouraged to us extra caution. Children will be out making the best of their summer and often use the road. The number of children on bikes increases as kids have a lot more time on their hands and bikes are often the choice of entertainment and transportation. Drivers need to be vigilant about keeping their attention on the road. Children often do not pay close attention to what they are. doing and that can be a dangerous combination on the road. Parents are encouraged to make sure their children know the rules of the road and follow them. The unfortunate, fact is, that it doesn't matter who is right or wrong, if you are on a bike and get hit by a motor vehicle the bike will always lose. cwalsh@drps.ca NOTICE OF HIGHWAY CLOSING A PORTION OF THE ROAD ALLOWANCE SITUATED BETWEEN LOTS 28 AND 29, CONCESSION 3 IN THE FORMER TOWNSHIP OF CLARKE Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Clarington, at the meeting to be held, in the Council chambers, 40 Temperance Street, Bowmanville, Ontario on July 15, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. proposes to pass a by-law to stop up and close a portion of the unopen road allowance situated between Lots 28 and 29, Concession 3 in the former Township of Clarke, as shown on Part 2 of registered plan 4ÔR-23364 in the former Township of Clarke, now in the Municipality of Clarington.
