The state-of-the-art facility will be located on a former brownfields site at Mary and Bond streets, and is set to house 33 courtrooms, five motion rooms and related justice services, employing about 350 people. He also stressed that his government's decision to go with an Alternative Alternative Financing and Procurement ; (AFP) model, as opposed to the P3 strategy favoured by the previous government, will ensure accountability by making contracts public and demonstrating demonstrating value for money. "Over the next 20 years; the Region of Durham Durham is forecast to have one of the highest rates of population growth in Ontario," Mr. Caplan said. "The courthouse will meet the needs of the region's growing growing population." The Minister Minister was quick to add that Oshawa was not selected based on the City's ability' to provide free land, noting that availability of a brownfield site was a key factor.
