After opening the six-team tournament tournament with a 3-l setback to Crows Sports of Newcastle, Investors Group closed out the final two games with victories, getting past Newcastle #2 by a 6-2 score, and then beating Barry Bryan in the B Championship game by a 7-4 count. Ryan Kelly held a hot hand for Investors Investors Group, leading the way with eight goals and two assists in the tournament, tournament, five of the goals coming in the final game. Despite losses to Richmond Hill and Quinte, the Toros came out flying against Markham and came away with a 5-3 win. Scoring were Peter Johnson, Tyler Armstrong, Dylon McMahon, Jeremy Caruana and Justin Vallee. Assists went to Sfiayne Winner, Daniel Van Sickle, Colin Gilbride, Johnson and Vallee. Strong goaltending between the pipes by Adam Clancy kept the opponents at bay. In a home and home series against Oshawa, the Toros couldn't come together together as they fell to the Generals with Winner Winner scoring the only goal. The rematch proved to be quite a battle as low scoring and tight goaltending by Peter Hamilton paved the way to a 2-1 victory. Mark Hilker and McMahon popped in the goals with lamp lighting helpers going to Johnson and William Minnema. The game of the season so far has been against Peterborough. Going into the third period down by two goals the Toros surged onto the ice and scored three unanswered to take the Petes 5-4T This never say die attitude was proven by the hard work of all players including by that of Tyler Feldcamp, Brett Brown' Matt Akot, Brook Akers and Scott Wood. Filling the hemp hut were Hilker with a pair, Johnson, McMahon and Minnema. The assists went to Sefan Beattie, Van Sickle, Johnson and McMahon.
