The Newcastle Lions Club-is the sponsor of the Living Memorial project at the forest. Their purpose is to provide an opportunity to commemorate the life of a loved one, in a special way by planting a tree. A Memorial Tree may be planted in the memory of a loved one through this program regardless of when/where the death occurred or where the funeral service was held. It is the goal of the Newcastle Lions Club to provide a source of comfort and meaning to those who have suffered a loss. Everyone will benefit from this living tribute for many years to come.
