NOTICE OF STUDY COMMENCEMENT Green Road, Bowmanville Extension and CP Rail Grade Separation Schedule 'C'Class Environmental Assessment The Municipality of Ciarington has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment for the extension of. Green Road between Boswell Drive and Baseline Road, including improvements to the CP Rail grade separation located just south of Boswell Drive. A key map is provided below. The proposed extension and related improvements to Green Road are intended to provide additional north-south capacity in the local Bowmanville road network, and to improve access and mobility for the residential and commercial areas located adjacent to Green Road. The study will define the transportation problem and opportunities, identify and evaluate alternative solutions and designs, and determine a preferred alternative. A key part of the study will be consultation with the Municipality of Ciarington, regulatory agencies, and the public. The study is being conducted in compliance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (June 2000), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act. It is anticipated that a Public Open House will be held in early summer 2006 to provide the public with an opportunity to meet directly with the Project Team, review and discuss the study findings, and to exchange information with respect to proposed improvements. A formal Notice will be published in advance of that meeting.
