During July and August, the Oshawa campus is hosting its one-week summer camps for soccer, soccer, basketball, baseball-softball, tennis, volleyball, golf, inline and multi-sports, elite volleyball, and a volleyball coaching clinic. "We'll take in well over 1;000 people this summer," said Ken Babcock, director of athletics at Durham College and the University University of Ontario Institute of Technology. "It will be like a mini campus in summer." For students mostly ages eight to 13, the sports camp experience experience includes everything everything from learning to tie shoes properly in the basketball camp, to swinging a racket in tennis camp. "It's sports specific, it's not a day camp," said Mr. Babcock. "You're going to leam everything about sports from 'A' to 'Z'. They'll leave a player that understands the sport that much better."
