At the Tyke level, Coach Joe Szi- manski was pleased with the number of players this year compared to last, enabling him to go with the idea of 12 on, 12 off format for offence and defence. Kyler Woodburne was the offensive MVP with two receptions and a strong game. Meanwhile on defence, Stanley Knowlton was given the 'Hammer 'Hammer Award' for consistent hard hitting and tackling. Atom coach Dave Jowitt was pleased with his team's performance despite the loss. Defensively, the team is stronger this year, led by captains Corey Vaillancourt and Devon Jowitt. Jowitt. Offensive captain and quarterback Branden Labanowich drove the team for several first down drives, but were unable to punch one in for a score. Rookie captain Daniel Cisneros played very well in his position as a running running back, making several large gains. Defensive player Brandon Kirkton was named the game MVP, making many tackles and delivering some powerful hits along the way. At the Peewee level, new coach Greg Novak was also pleased. Burlington's Burlington's coaches were heard saying this is the strongest Peewee team they have seen from Clarington in six years, holding holding the Stampeders scoreless in the first quarter. QB Jake Doyle had a very strong game, while Jordan Campbell played very well on defence. Receiver Grant Black had several receptions including one for a 30 to 40 yard gain.
