Nikolai was born on April 27, 1918 in Russia to Ivan and Tatijana Truntaew. Nikolai was a W.W. II veteran, Following the war Nikolai moved to Belgium where he met his future wife Anna and they married. on November 12, 1947.. In 1951 they immigrated, to Canada to live in Kirkland Lake, Ontario where he worked at Kerr-Addison Mine. In 1953 he was instrumental in building an Orthodox Church on Taylor-Avenue in Kirkland Lake. In 1964. they moved to Ajax, Ontario where they lived on Archer Drive. Nikolai worked for Drew Chemicals.until his retirement in 1983. His favorite summer destination was. his yearly trip to Sesekinika, Ontario to fish on Ranta's Point. When Nikolai and Anna's-health declined they moved to Winbourne Park. : Nikolai was predeceased by his loving wife Anna in 2004 and his entire family who perished during the war.
