- Description
- Starting Friday May 8 2020 and going through the following week, the City expanded on municipal services such as access to landfill sites and preparing to open boat launches.
Although residents started to see restrictions being lifted, the city continued to take all necessary precautions to ensure the health and safety of residents and staff. The services were closely monitored and residents were warned that closures could be reinstated if the municipality saw any increased signs of risk.
Services expansions included lifting the city-wide burn ban on May 8, 2020 (except for the province's Restricted Fire Zone in the north); Lindsay Transit offering temporary On Demand booking service; opening the Lindsay (May 11), Fenelon Falls (May 18), and Eldon (May 18) landfill sites; opening of the Victoria Rail Trail to motorized vehicles (May 12); preparing to open boat launches (May 14); and opening of Farmers Markets. - Publisher
