William, the son of Marsden Thomas and Mary Louisa Rees, arrived at Halifax from Liverpool aboard RMS Aurania on April 3, 1927. His landing documents gave his occupation as Mason, but indicated that the intended to farm in Canada.
Lottie and William are known to have had at least two children, both of whom were buried with their parents at Bobcaygeon.
