- Description
- This is a black and white photo of the Queen's Hotel, on the north east corner of Huron and Main Street. It is a large two story building with a covered porch around the second story.
- Notes
- Notes indicate that the Queen's Royal Hotel, was built by John Gordon in 1887. This was the second hotel ever built in Thessalon. It served first as his private home and was later converted to a hotel.
Mr. Gordon sold the hotel in 1892 to Charlie Stibbs who then sold it to Dr. D. A. Simon. The hotel changed hands fairly frequently, as well as names including The Red Fox Inn, The O'Connor Hotel and The Little Lady.
As of February 7th, 1995 the ownership of the property was taken over by The Rankin Trucking Limited.
