- This is a sepia toned photo showing the remains of the Burtis mill after a fire. A two story house can be seen in the background that appears untouched by the fire.
A mass of burned wood, twisted metal and remains of machinery are strewn on the ground, and around the stone foundations that are still standing.
A chimney has survived as well as the sawdust burner in the back left of the photo.
