- Steamboat Florence Main coming into dock, near Huntsville, Ontario.
- Notes
- The eighty foot Florence Main was purchased by C.O. Shaw from Capt. Mortimer on Lake Muskoka and arrived by rail in Huntsville from Gravenhurst in April 1905. It was refitted in 1907, the hull extended 3 feet and a second deck added. In 1909 it was refitted again and renamed the Mohawk Belle. In 1913 it was lengthened and completely rebuilt with a steel hull and relaunched July 17, 1913 at the South Portage. It was sold to the owners of Bigwin Inn in 1945-46. In the winter of 1949 the boat filled with water at drydock at the rear of Bigwin island and sank. Its battered hull remained in the sand until the summer of 1999, when the remains of the ship were finally removed.
