- Standard Garage in Allensville, facing south, 1926. Part owner Seth Grimes standing far left. Location is the east corner of Old Muskoka Road and Stevenson Road 7.
- Notes
- The year was 1923 when Seth Grimes and Percy Mulveney began their partnership, repairing and selling used vehicles. Both men were from local pioneer families. Seth stayed in the auto business for many years, operating such garages as Utterson Garage, Grimes Garage, West End Motors, Golden Mile Motor Court, and Bracebridge Garage. Percy went on to work for the Department of Northern Affairs, also operating The Pines with his father Charles, which was a service station-lunch bar-cabins combined.
