Notes
A Comittee was struck in 1947 to plan for the hospital which opened its doors in 1949 with 26 beds. In 1955 a chronic wing was added and in 1963 a brick addition. In 1967 the hospital took over the private ambulance service and in 1969 a third floor was added. In 1977 a new hospital was built on Muskoka Road 3 and this hospital became the Fairvern Nursing Home.
