Description
Located east of Bracebridge on Highway 118, Tamwood Lodge was originally named Tamarac Lodge due to the stand of tamarack on the property when it was built. This rustic log lodge offered families a peaceful retreat in the summer in Muskoka for 60 years. Facilities included an indoor pool, several tennis courts, shuffleboards, canoes, windsurfers, sailboats, sandy beach and a golf course across the road. It was demolished in 2007 to make way for development at Touchstone Resort.
