Description
When Finlay Munro announced plans for Rainbow Ridge Ski Resort in 1962 to be located just west of Bracebridge, his plans included a hotel, a chalet with restaurant and dance floor, and 5 hills. Although the initial season was a success, the hotel was never built and eventually the business was sold. In fact, it changed hands several times before the resort and ski hills closed in 1981. The property is currently the site of Muskoka Hills Retirement Residence, formerly Bracebridge Villa.
