Description
The Canadian Keswick Conference Centre, pictured here as it was in 1940, was an interdenominational Bible Camp from 1926 to 1945, when it burned down. The original building on this site in 1880 was a hotel, Ferndale House, owned and operated by R. G. Penson. In 1895, he sold it to his son Seymour, who tore down that building, rebuilt and re-opened in 1899. The building subsequently changed hands several times before being sold to Canadian Keswick in 1926.
