The postcard shows the Old Combined Locks 28, 29 & 30 near the foreground. It was taken out of service in 1974 when the new Combined Lock 29a, a single hydraulic/electric concrete lock, replaced it.

The issue date of the Frontenac 1622-1698 postage stamp on the reverse: May 17, 1972
