The postcard shows the old Frost & Wood Company (demolished in 1961) along the Rideau River. Spooner school is seen in the foreground. Beech Street is a dirt road. Beckwith Street runs in a straight line as it was seen prior to its reconfiguration resulting from 1974 decommissioning of the old Combined Lock 28, 29 & 30 and the construction of Lock 29a.
