- The caption for this photograph in 1925 Old Home souvenir programme identifies the 2 1/2 story brick home in the far background as the Frost home near Beckwith Street and Mill Street, Smiths Falls, p.19.
The caption for a 1942 newspaper clipping [in an oversized bound red scrapbook featuring the Record News Diamond Jubilee Edition, SFPL, Local History collection] states the following, p.35: "Do you recognize this scene? Now it is a wide, paved thoroughfare over which stream-lined cars pass but then it was merely a dirt street bounded by board sidewalks and after heavy rains horses labored to pull their wagons or carriages locked hub-deep in mud. The above scene is Beckwith Street between the corner of Church and Gladstone avenue. At the extreme rear and almost in the centre of the picture may be seen the old W. H. Frost home on Maple Avenue which has been remodelled into three apartments." - Date of Original
