This collection is comprised of photos taken by George Albert Little (1882-1956) and several other photos of family members which were taken by Smiths Falls studio photographers J.J. Kerfoot and Hugh A. Ross.
Irwin's maternal grandfather was George Albert Little. Little owned a Ray No.1 camera that was outfitted with a Bausch and Lomb lens. Irwin believes that the camera was used between 1902-1907 in Smiths Falls. The prints were created from 4" x 5" glass plate negatives. Little lived at 60 William Street E. but later moved to Gananoque where he worked as a manager at Dominion Steel. He also worked as draftsman engineer at age 29. In September 1909, Little married May Lottie Lee (1884-1969), originally from Smiths Falls, in Gananoque.

Research by Ted Outerbridge (March 2023):
"So far we have one guess as to the identity of the SF beverage bottler. // Calvin Weidmark (1879-1920) was born in Smiths Falls in 1879. His profession was mechanic when he married Hazel Pearl Frankum October 25, 1905. They had two children, Edward Heman Weidmark (1912-1944) and Mary Ethelda Weidmark (1913-1997). He is documented as Calvin Weidmark & Co., an aerated water manufacturer living in Smiths Falls in 1908. The 1911 census lists him as living on Mary Street. By 1915 he had moved to Picton and was a manufacturer. He served in WWI in 1918. Died in 1920. Death certificate lists him as a Soda Water Manufacturer. Cause of death: acute indigestion and respiratory failure (possibly due to gassing at Passchendaele, WWI)."
